Building Foundations for the Future
Under its Shiksha initiative, PHD Rural Development Foundation (PHDRDF) is committed to improving the quality of education and learning environments in rural and semi-urban India. Working across seven states—Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Haryana—PHDRDF has positively impacted over 5,000 students in more than 70 schools over the last three years. The initiative focuses on holistic development through activities such as establishing computer labs, reconstructing school buildings, integrating BaLA (Building as Learning Aid) concepts, promoting sanitation and hygiene through WaSH programs, and conducting eco-rallies for awareness generation—nurturing young minds for a brighter and sustainable future.
At PHDRDF, we believe that education is a powerful tool for transformation and empowerment. Our initiative, PHDRDF Shiksha, is dedicated to enhancing educational infrastructure and promoting hygienic practices in schools across underserved communities. By strategically partnering with local governments, educational organizations, and community leaders, we aim to create an environment where every child has the opportunity to learn, thrive, and reach their full potential.
Our Mission
Our mission is to ensure that children receive a quality education in safe, clean, and well-equipped environments. We understand that access to education goes beyond classrooms; it encompasses the overall well-being of students. Therefore, we focus on two main pillars: enhancing educational infrastructure and promoting hygiene in schools.
Enhancing Educational Infrastructure
Quality education begins with quality facilities. At PHDRDF Shiksha, we undertake various projects that focus on upgrading existing school infrastructures and building new ones. Our initiatives include:
Building and Renovating Classrooms:
We work to ensure that schools have adequate classroom space that supports interactive and engaging learning experiences.
Providing Learning Resources:
We provide schools with essential educational materials such as books, computers, and other learning aids to enhance the quality of education.
Teacher Training Programs:
We conduct workshops and training for educators, equipping them with innovative teaching techniques and resources to improve classroom experiences.
Promoting Hygiene in Schools
